Stingers Sign Veteran CEBL Guard Bandoo
Brampton, Ontario native has averaged 15.6 points and 4.7 rebounds in 40 games with Saskatchewan and Montreal since 2021

The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Wednesday the signing of Canadian guard Devonte Bandoo to their 2025 roster. The Brampton, Ontario native is a CEBL returner. He’s played 40 CEBL games, averaging 15.6 points, 2.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game in his time with the Saskatchewan Rattlers and Montreal Alliance.
“I’m excited to be joining the Edmonton Stingers,” said Bandoo. “I can’t wait to contribute to the organization. I’m looking forward to learning and making a positive impact.”
Prior to his time in the CEBL, Bandoo played 16 games in the NBA G League with the Grand Rapids Gold and the Lakeland Magic , averaging 21.8 minutes and 8.12 points per game.
“Devonté is a fantastic addition to our roster for the 2025 season.,” said Stingers Head Coach and General Manager Jordan Baker. “He is a proven scorer and adds a veteran presence to our locker room. His professional approach to the game is something that our younger athletes should be looking to emulate. We are very glad to have Devonté in Edmonton!”
In College, Bandoo played in the NCAA with the Baylor Bears. In 2020 he was named the Big 12 Sixth man of the year. Bandoo averaged 11.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists and 23.4 minutes in 136 games collegiate games split between NCAA Division 1 and Junior College.
Bandoo and the Stingers will return to the Edmonton EXPO Centre on Sunday May 11th to host the Calgary Surge in their home opener.
