A six-foot-three Toronto native, John has averaged 11.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 22.5 minutes in 39 games as a pro in Canada and Kosovo.
John will be entering his third CEBL season after competing with the Hamilton Honey Badgers during the 2021 CEBL season and gaining his first professional experience with the team in 2020 during the CEBL Summer Series. In 2021, he averaged 9.1 points in 15 games with Hamilton. He scored a season-high 24 points, shooting six-for-11 from the field and three-for-seven from behind the arc, to go along with six rebounds July 27 against Guelph.

During the 2020-21 campaign, John moved to Kosovo to play for the Golden Eagle YLLI, where he averaged career highs of 16.9 points and 4.1 assists in 14 games.
John played four years with Weber State University (WSU) in the NCAA Division I, averaging 10.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 27.8 minutes in 129 games, the fifth-most games in school history. He earned All-Big Sky Conference honors twice and scored 1,354 career points, which ranked as the 14th-most in WSU history in 2020.
The Canadian guard graduated in 2015 from Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, where he led his team to two state championships.
John became the fourth player to sign with Ottawa for the 2022 season. The BlackJacks previously announced the signing of NBA-experienced forward Deng Adel as well as Canadian forwards Jackson Rowe and Chad Posthumus.
The Ottawa BlackJacks 20-game regular season will open up with a game at home versus Fraser Valley on May 25, 2022 at 7:30pm. In addition to 10 regular season home games, the BlackJacks will be hosting the 2022 CEBL Championship Weekend from August 12-14, 2022.
