Industry Leaders Partner with the Canadian Elite Basketball League For CEBL Summer Series

Niagara, ON August 8, 2020 - The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) have announced its partners for the first ever CEBL Summer Series, which is in play at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, ON from July 25th to August 8th. The league’s new Summer Series partners Avis Budget Group, Kotak Law, Bell Lifestyle Products, Clearly Canadian, Payworks, Jostens, Nextdoor and Sword Security join incumbent CEBL partners New Era, Betcris, Spalding, Coventry Transportation, William Huff, Ward 1 Studios, and Canada Basketball.

“The CEBL is incredibly grateful for the support of all our partners who join with us to showcase and grow the sport and culture of basketball across Canada,” CEBL Commissioner Mike Morreale said. “In trying times our group of partners have stepped up to make the Summer Series a reality and with their support we have made history as the first league to return to play in Canada.”

About the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL)
The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) is a new basketball experience that features world-class professional basketball in a fan-friendly entertainment environment across seven cities in Canada. The 2019 inaugural season saw more than 100 Canadian and international players take to the court, culminating with the Saskatchewan Rattlers earning the first CEBL championship trophy. CEBL players come from the NBA G-League, top international professional leagues, the Canadian National team program, NCAA and U SPORTS programs. As the First Division Professional League Partner of Canada Basketball, the CEBL’s second season was played as the CEBL Summer Series, a single site competition that was the first pro sports to return to play in Canada following the outbreak of COVID-19. The Series ran July 25 through August 9. All CEBL games are live-streamed globally on Twitch, and in Canada on the CBC Gem app and cbcsports.ca.
