Guelph Nighthawks Re-Sign Myles Charvis

GUELPH, ON - Myles Charvis returns to the Guelph Nighthawks for his third season of basketball in the Royal City. Charvis played high school basketball in Mississauga, ON before beginning his U SPORTS career with the Waterloo Warriors for two years. Myles continued his U SPORTS career when he transferred to Ryerson University to play for the Rams. His consistency and reliability was put on display game after game as he averaged 16 points per game and was the Rams’ leading shooter from the free throw line at 82.5 percent in his senior season. He was awarded Ryerson’s Athlete of the week on January 8, 2019 and recognized as Ryerson’s Team MVP in 2018-2019. To conclude his post-secondary career, Myles graduated with one OUA Gold medal and two OUA Silver medals along with one U SPORTS Silver medal and two Bronze medals.


Charvis made his professional career debut halfway through the inaugural CEBL season as a U SPORTS player for the Nighthawks. He made an incredible impact averaging 10.6 points and 5.1 assists per game. Following the 2019 CEBL season, Myles signed with the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans in the NBL-Canada. He averaged 13.5 points and 100 percent of free throws in two games, before being ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury. During the 2020
CEBL Summer Series , Charvis returned from injury to make an impact off-the-bench.

The Nighthawks start their CEBL 2021 season on June 28. All games are available on CBCSports.ca and the CBC Gem App via Android or iOS devices.


The CEBL led the NHL, NBA and later the CPL in  returning to play in Canada  after the coronavirus shut down the sports world in March of 2020. The  CEBL Summer Series  put professional basketball on the television and digital screens of millions of viewers across Canada and around the world, establishing the league as the top Canadian-based global team sports brand. The 2021 season set to start on June 24, will build on that momentum with an expanded viewing audience around the world, and locally through an innovative approach to addressing the uncertainties due to the pandemic around having fans in arenas across the league.
