EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced today that the organization has signed Power Forward, Brady Skeens, for the 2021 Season.
Skeens, 25, spent the 2020-2021 season playing in Finland with Pyrinto Tampere suiting up for 33 games, where he averaged 29.7 minutes and 12.30 points per game.
He spent his 2019-2020 season with the Sudbury Five playing 22 games while averaging 30 minutes per game.
“I really enjoyed recruiting Brady,” said Stingers GM and Head Coach Jermaine Small . "He comes from a great family and their love for the game was very apparent. His passion for rebounding and wanting to become a Stinger fits in perfectly with our group. There is no doubt he will do whatever it takes to help us win."
The six-foot-seven product of Lenexa, Kansas set his career high in points in a Canada - NBL game on February 7, 2020. That day he scored 23 points in a home win. He also had 18 rebounds, one assist and two blocks. He shot 10/11 from two, shooting at 90.9 percent from the field. He also shot 3/3 from the free-throw line.
The CEBL is preparing for its third season in 2021, following the success of the 2020 CEBL Summer Series in St. Catharines, Ontario; which saw a record 1.2 million viewers across Canada tune in to four days of live programming on CBC .
