In the 2021 season Peter-McNeilly was nominated for the CEBL’s Sixth Man of the Year, averaging 10.3 points per game in his 13 regular season games.
"Deeks is a proven winner, the best 6 man in the league and someone who has been here from the beginning” explained Head Coach Jermaine Small. “He’s the heartbeat of our team and having him back is essential to continue our championship level of success."
Peter-McNeilly represented the Edmonton Stingers in Canada’s first ever BCLA appearance in December 2021 playing 2 games averaging 23.7 minutes per game and 2.50 points. He is currently playing in Romania for ABC Athletic Constanta averaging 18.8 minutes with a total 34 points in 5 games.
“What we’ve built in Edmonton with the Stingers is something special and I’m more than excited to come back and compete for another championship,” said Peter-McNeilly. “Being able to play for Small goes beyond basketball, he’s been a great coach and mentor from when I was playing grassroots basketball in Scarborough and to be able to achieve success with him at this level means everything.”
In college he averaged 18.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 32.0 minutes in 25 games for Ryerson in his final year.
