Niagara, ON: The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) has announced their semifinal matchups for the inaugural Championship Weekend being held in Saskatoon on August 24. The host team, and currently ranked 3rd in the standings, Saskatchewan Rattlers, will play the second seed, Edmonton Stingers at 1 PM CT at the Sasktel Centre. Meanwhile the top seed, Niagara River Lions will square off in an all east affair with the 4th seed, Hamilton Honey Badgers at 3:30 PM CT. Matchup details as below:

• August 24th – 1 PM CT - Saskatchewan Rattlers vs. Edmonton Stingers
• August 25th – 3:30 PM CT – Niagara River Lions vs. Hamilton Honey Badgers

The winners of these games will square off in the Championship finals also being held at the Sasktel Centre for a chance to lift the coveted Championship Trophy. Tickets for games are available via Ticketmaster.

The inaugural season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) will conclude in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in a Championship Weekend Festival and Finals format. Over four days between August 22 – 25, the Province of Saskatchewan and the City of Saskatoon will host a league CEBL Awards, three-day Family Friendly Street Festival, Tailgate Parties, Major Concerts, and of course, the top four teams competing to be named Champions! Games to be held at SaskTel Centre, where the best of Canadian Basketball will showcase their skills and establish an annual sporting event not to be missed.
