Winnipeg Sea Bears Welcome Pure Scorer Teddy Allen to the Team

May 4, 2023

Nebraska high school sensation turned New Mexico State star signs with Winnipeg Sea Bears for team's inaugural season

The Winnipeg Sea Bears announce the signing of guard Teddy Allen Thursday. Allen returns to the CEBL after averaging 27.9 points per game with the Wichita Sky Kings of the TBL earlier this year.

Allen’s previous stint in the CEBL came with the Scarborough Shooting Stars last summer, where he put up 11.6 points per game, showing his versatility on and off the ball with averages of five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Phoenix, Arizona product rose to high school stardom in Nebraska, where he became the first high school player in the state since 2008 to average more than 30 points per game. That feat was highlighted by a school-record 47-point single game performance. He would later be named the Nebraska High School Player of the Year in 2017.

Allen would go on to play his university ball at New Mexico State, Nebraska and West Virginia. He averaged 19.6 points per game for the Aggies in his last year of collegiate play, leading the Western Athletic Conference.

Allen is now bringing his raw scoring abilities to the heart of the north, as he will look to help the Sea Bears make a splash in the team’s inaugural season.
