Saskatoon, Sask. (Mar. 19, 2020) - The Saskatchewan Rattlers, member club of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), are excited to announce that import guard Lawrence Moore has re-signed with the team for the 2020 season.

Moore, a Chigaco, IL-native made the most of his time on the floor finishing the season averaging 5.8 PPG, 44 FG%, 1.3 REB and 2.0 AST in 6 games. A University of Saskatchewan Alumni, Moore averaged 23.0 and 20.8 PPG in his last two seasons with the Huskies. Prior to joining the Huskies, Moore spent time with Bakersfield College in California. The 6-foot-2 import guard is known for his ball control, playmaking and shooting skills.

“Lawrence performed at a very high-level last season when given the opportunity to play,” said Rattlers GM Barry Rawlyk. “We look forward to seeing him continue to improve and make an even larger impact on the team this upcoming season. Lawrence has really stepped up during his time with the Rattlers and has done exemplary work in the community with the team. Just last week, Lawrence travelled five and half hours north to English River First Nation in collaboration with the club’s “ Dunk Out Bullying ” initiative. Both Alex and Lawrence always have time to meet fans and are great examples of what it means to be a Rattler. As a former U of S Huskie, the basketball community in Saskatoon are no strangers to the high level of play Lawrence can bring to the court.”

The Rattlers enter the 2020 season as the defending CEBL Champions. They will open the season away from home on May 8 when they take on the Fraser Valley Bandits. The Rattlers home opener will take place on May 14 against the Bandits, when they will celebrate the 2019 season by unveiling the first-ever CEBL Championship banner. Season tickets and flex packs are available on therattlers.ca , with group and single-game tickets expected to be released in the coming months.
