Bet99.Net Becomes Official Free-To-Play Partner Of The CEBL For Championship Weekend

The Canadian Elite Basketball League and Bet99.net announced Thursday a partnership that will see the Canadian focused free to play sports website become the Official Free-To-Play Partner of the CEBL for Championship Weekend being held at TD Place Arena in Ottawa ON from August 12 – 14. The partnership was orchestrated by ThePostGame, the U.S.-based sports consultancy and content studio, which is working with the CEBL on media rights and betting strategies.

Hamilton, Niagara, Scarborough, and Ottawa are competing for the league championship this year. The second-seeded Niagara River Lions and third-seeded Scarborough Shooting Stars open semifinal action at 4 p.m. Friday at TD Place Arena. They’ll be followed at 7 p.m. by top-seeded Hamilton and fourth-seeded Ottawa. The winners square off Sunday at 4 p.m. in the title game. CBC will broadcast all three games nationally, with coverage of Sunday’s finale beginning at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.
 
In addition to the CBC broadcasts, fans can live stream all playoff games on the CEBL’s OTT streaming service

The CEBL’s fourth season began May 25 and ended August 1. A league created by Canadians for Canadians, the CEBL is the largest pro sports league in the country with 10 teams located in six provinces. It has the highest percentage of Canadian players of any professional league in the country, with 71 percent of its current rosters being Canadians. Players bring experience from the NBA, NBA G League, top international leagues, the Canadian National team program, and top NCAA programs as well as U SPORTS. The only First Division Professional League Partner of Canada Basketball, the CEBL season runs from May through August.
